For Afro Passion's 10th anniversary, it was a good idea to take advantage of the summer and to venture into new territory.

Our goal is to bring people from different communities together - that's how the African Cup Augsburg came about! The inclusive community for people showcases the beauty and diversity of African culture through music, sports and entertainment.

Football inspires and brings many people together. And since we are a large community, the starting places for the teams were quickly filled. There are teams from Augsburg, but since most of them had the ambition to win this tournament, football players who were friends were also invited to be part of the first African Cup.

Eritrea, Gambia, Senegal, Guinea, Kamerun, Gambia Youths RV, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, African Nation und East Afrika came together, some from Augsburg and all of Bavaria, to jointly hold the first African Football Tournament in Augsburg.

Organizing events and bringing people together is our great passion. The first African Cup was a huge success, there was tons of positive feedback. It was therefore immediately clear that the African Cup would go into the second round next year (2023).
